G8 2009 in Castelbrando
G8 2009
For the first time in its history CastelBrando hosted the G8 of Agriculture Ministers' Meeting.
The event gathered 25 International delegations composed by G8 Countries with the participation of other 8 guest Countries and 9 International organizations such as FAO, IFAD and the World Bank.
The summit was strongly desired by Italian Minister of Agriculture Luca Zaia to decide over future strategies in view of increasing prices for agricultural raw materials and future negative effects of less food being available for the whole world.
